Review: I’ve tried a LOT of nail products over time—everything from budget-friendly kits to more professional-grade systems—and I feel like I finally have a solid opinion on what actually works versus what just looks good online. Starting with acrylic systems: the biggest difference I’ve noticed across brands is in the consistency and setting time. Some powders go on super chalky and dry way too fast, which makes it almost impossible to get a smooth application—especially if you’re still learning. The better-quality ones have a much smoother, almost buttery consistency when mixed with monomer, giving you time to shape and perfect the nail before it sets. A good monomer also makes a huge difference; the cheaper ones tend to have a really harsh smell and can cause lifting within a few days, whereas higher-quality ones bond better and last weeks without issues.
