Review: Today, I had one of my favourite izakaya experiences in Japan. We kicked off our day with a visit to Dojimahama Tower, which offers a free viewing platform over Osaka. While the views weren’t quite as amazing as the one from yesterday, it was still worth a visit to see the business district and all its skyscrapers from up high. This north of Osaka is home to shopping malls galore, so Dave and I set about finding some of the most interesting stores inside them. The Nintendo Store was fun to browse, the Pokemon Store was overwhelming (so many rampaging children!), and the Sesame Street Store was an unexpected find. The Umeda Sky Building is one of the most recognisable buildings in Osaka, and home to one of the most daunting escalators I’ve ever set foot on! The top of the building is shaped like a ring, and you can take an escalator from one side to the other, with nothing but 125 metres of air below you. Not a fan!!
